日独非平衡統計物理25周年記念シンポジウムが湯川ホールとオンラインでハイブリッド開催されました。
シンポジウムには約70人が登録し、約50人が対面で参加しました。田中教授はシンポジウムのオープニングを務め、鈴木・山本助教が講演しました。

Prof. Tanaka along with Prof. Yamamoto (Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Kyoto Univ.) and Prof. Sano (Institute of Natural Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong Univ.) organized the “25th Anniversary Symposium of German-Japanese Joint Research Project on Nonequilibrium Statistical Physics – Perspectives for Future Collaboration” at the Yukawa hall and online.
The symposium brought together 70 people with research connections to Germany and Japan. Drs. Suzuki and Yamamoto gave talks.

第3回 京大ーハイデルベルク大ー理研ワークショップ「医学と数理」が益川ホールとオンラインでハイブリッド開催されました。
ワークショップには250人以上が登録し、田中教授によるワークショップの趣旨説明に引き続き湊総長・森院長・小安理研理事からご挨拶いただきました。鈴木・山本助教が講演しました。

The workshop brough together more than 250 people from various scientific backgrounds.

吉川 研一 客員教授を始めとする共同研究グループが、二種類の水溶性高分子のミクロ相分離条件下でDNAとリン脂質を共存させると、内部にDNAを取込み、リン脂質の膜で囲まれた細胞内小器官様の構造が自発的に生成することを発見し、その研究成果がVery Important Paper の1つに選ばれ、研究内容を紹介するイラストが国際学術誌ChemBioChemに掲載されました。

Our recent study in collaboration with Prof. Bastmeyer (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Visiting Professor of CiMPhy), “Mechanical stimulation of single cells by reversible host-guest interactions in 3D microscaffold” was published in Science Advances.
This collaborative work was carried out in the framework of HeKKSaGOn alliance and MEXT Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas.

The theme of our study group is “Developing mathematical models to understand collective cellular behaviors in dieseases”（「疾患における集団的細胞挙動の数理モデルの開拓」）and will bring together students from various disciplines to tackle a new, interdisciplinary field.
